Nadel & Pen was created a few month ago by Tilmann Wröbel.
After working for Dior, Nina Ricci and Courrèges he created his own denim styling agency (Mr. T Agency).
The agency work for Barbara Bui, Lafuma, Lee Cooper amongs others.
It’s just a few month ago that Nadel & Pen was born, in Mr. T’s office near Paris.
Tilmann feels it’s time to put the couture know-how he learned while « sewing for Dior » in the service of his beloved blue.
Because he strongly believes that denim is a noble fabric, wich origins go back to the 15th century, Tilmann provides his clients with the opportunity to « hire a styling agency » to draw and make a completely tailor-made pair of jeans, from the cut to the choice of materials and the engraving on the button.
The wait is 3 to 4 months between first encounter and delivery, just enough time to understand, suggest, make patrons, fittings, import fabrics and hand-sew the trousers.
The price is, of course, quite high (a minimum of 4000€) but you can expect the denim to be Japan’s finest, lining to be pure silk, buttons made of solid silver and the whole package to get delivered to your door with a certificate of authenticity.
A counter mass-cultural product that honours a time when used clothes went to thrift stores and not to the dump.
