Description
Velva Sheen is an American sportswear brand founded in the early 1930s by Oscar Schroeder.
At the time, it was famous for its T-shirts with embroidered letters and met with great success in universities and sports teams, even equipping the Marines.
After changing hands, the company gradually fell into oblivion in the mid-1990s. It was not until the arrival of Topwin Company, a Japanese company based in California, and the passion of Hide Murase, that this little piece of American heritage was reborn. Hide was keen to pay tribute to the brand’s roots by preserving every detail, right down to the original plastic packaging.
The brand now offers T-shirts, joggings and hoodies in jersey, using only US-produced cotton. It remains famous for its tubular T-shirts, woven in one piece and therefore without side seams, which makes them much more resistant to wear and tear, and avoids any twisting.
All Velva Sheen pieces are Made in the U.S.
