Ibiza’s New Moodboard: Los Felices, Cala de Bou.
There’s a sun-faded glamour returning to Ibiza—but this time, it’s wearing a sharper silhouette. At Los Felices, a new 113-room hotel tucked into the golden coast of Cala de Bou, the island’s famously laid-back rhythm meets a burst of unapologetic colour and design conviction. It’s where Palm Springs meets Playa d’en Bossa, and the result is unmistakably bold.
Opened by Diego Calvo, a native Ibicenco with a taste for the unconventional, Los Felices is less a hotel and more a moodboard in motion. Calvo calls himself “a rebel,” and the property reflects it: part design experiment, part social hub, and entirely devoted to the art of good living.
Designed by Il Mio Design, the interiors lean heavily into mid-century Americana—but with a Balearic lilt. Think sun-bleached pinks, mustard yellows, terrazzo flooring, and louche curves that wouldn’t feel out of place in a Slim Aarons photograph. Each guest room is named after a fashion designer and features a campaign photograph and a piece from that designer—a detail that transforms your stay into something halfway between a showroom and a set.
But it’s not all aesthetics. The pool area is the visual and social centrepiece of the hotel, with custom parasols, floating loungers, and bespoke tiling that forms a kind of wearable architecture. It’s a place to be seen, yes—but also to slow down, sip a Campari spritz, and let the day melt around you.
Beyond the pool, there’s a restaurant that offers a sophisticated take on Balearic fare—salt-baked dorade, saffron rice dishes, and seasonal seafood—alongside cocktails that are as photogenic as they are potent. The hotel pulses with cultural intention, from local DJ sets and pop-up installations to fashion-inspired events curated with the same attention to detail as the rooms themselves.
In an island saturated with clichés of barefoot luxury, Los Felices delivers something fresher: a hotel that’s both playful and polished, referential and forward-thinking. It’s Ibiza with eyeliner, charisma, and just the right amount of edge.
If you're looking for a place that embodies what Ibiza could be next, look no further. Los Felices isn’t just a hotel—it’s a statement.
